This Privacy Policy explains how CommodityOS ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our platform to manage commodity trading deals, verification, contracts, commissions, and escrow.

We collect account details (name, email, organization), identity and KYC verification data (documents, liveness checks, legal entity details) submitted directly or via our verification provider, deal and transaction data you create in deal rooms, payment and banking details required for escrow payouts, and usage data such as log-in activity and device information.
2. How we use information
We use this information to operate deal rooms and contracts, verify counterparties and prevent fraud, process escrow funding and release, calculate and lock commission splits, bill subscriptions, provide customer support, and improve the platform.
3. Legal bases for processing
Where applicable data protection law requires it, we process your data based on the performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interest in operating a secure trading platform, your consent where requested, and compliance with legal and anti-money-laundering obligations.
4. Sharing of information
We share data with service providers strictly to deliver the platform: our database and authentication provider, our identity verification provider, our payment processor for subscriptions, and our escrow and settlement infrastructure providers. We do not sell your personal information.
5. Data retention
We retain account, deal, and verification data for as long as your account is active and afterward as required to meet legal, tax, and anti-money-laundering record-keeping obligations.
6. International transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls, and never storing full bank account or routing numbers directly — sensitive payout details are registered directly with our regulated payment partner.

We use a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your language preference. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
10. Children's privacy
CommodityOS is intended for business use by adults acting on behalf of organizations. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
